Just thought I would show off my son, Joshua. He is now 6 months old and fantastic fun. (The attached pictures of him were at 4 months).

I did have a couple of issues working out how I could manage fatherhood from a wheelchair point of view; How to pick him up off the floor, how to bath him, feed him etc.

One of the items I definitely recommend as a prudent purchase is a BUMBO, that is the green seat shown in the picture (available in loads of colours), which means he can easily be put on any table and fed. It holds the kids in place even before they can sit themselves and stops them escaping until they are old enough to walk. Obviously that doesn't mean they can be left unattended in it on a table!

Hey Sarge,

Where do you get the "Bumbo" from?

Thx

Hi Tony,

Most Baby stores sell them, I think, but I got mine from Babies Galore in Randwick. They are also available form the Babies Galore On-Line shop: http://www.babiesgalore.com.au/show_produc...somewords=bumbo

It looks like they have gone up a fair amount in price (must be popular) but are presently on sale at $89 instead of the usual $102 (I think it was $60ish when I bought mine.) Though it looks like it now comes with a tray attachment, which I reckon would be awesome for wheelie parents. In fact I'm pleased to see that the tray can also be bought separately as I will buy one if we are lucky enough to have another child.

Hope this helps smile.gif

Cheers
