Regional Services

Regional Services

Spinal Cord Injuries Australia has Regional Officers in a number of areas of NSW to provide assistance to individuals and organisations.

They provide information, support and assistance to people with severe physical disabilities, their families and carers and other local services.

Information and advocacy is provided in relation to a wide variety of issues such as:

  • Access and home modifications
  • Equipment
  • Personal care
  • Respite
  • Recreation
  • Transport
  • Accommodation
  • Peer support
  • Counselling

Regional Officers are available to make home or hospital visits. They regularly attend meetings and public forums to raise awareness of the needs of people with severe physical disabilities. Part of their role is to identify barriers and gaps in services and actively lobby for additional or more appropriate services
